Shonta Rose Scoggins was born and
raised in Los Angeles, where she was the youngest of five children. She attended Business College after graduating from Pacific Palisades High School,
and soon learned the ins and out of the garment industry, where she worked for more than a decade. In 1996, she began working at Toyota Motor Sales,
where she met and fell in love with Eric Scoggins. Eric was a gentleman and an exemplary role model for her then three-year-old daughter.
The three officially became a family following Eric and Shonta’s “fairytale” wedding on Maui in 2005. At that time, the Scoggins had moved to Northern
California, where Eric joined friend and former teammate Ronnie Lott at his Toyota dealership. Shonta focused on family and soon took on the challenges
of battling Eric’s ALS after he was diagnosed in 2007. Since then Shonta has worked with Eric’s good friends Ronnie Lott and Keena Turner to turn
Eric’s Vision into the presence it is today. Shonta is inspired by her husband and proud to take on the role of "Chief Visionary Officer"
following his passing in early 2009. She is committed to continuing Eric’s dream of finding a cure.
